AFFILIATED JEWELLER

MICHAEL LLOYD

Amongst Michael Lloyd’s distinguished clientele is His Majesty King Charles III, who commissioned the Cross of Wales, which he carried during the Coronation procession at Westminster Abbey on 6th May 2024. Alongside acclaimed work on prestigious commissions like the Cross of Wales, Michael also specialises in creating bespoke wedding & engagement rings.

Since the late 1980s, he has lived and worked in south-west Scotland. Describing himself as a compulsive maker, Michael’s exquisite chased silver and gold pieces demonstrate his deep understanding of both material and technique. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, he views his work as "an act of homage to our landscape and our increasingly fragile sense of creativity." His commissions also include pieces for York Minster and Lichfield Cathedral.

Public Collections include:

  • Victoria & Albert Museum, London

  • Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, London

  • National Archives of Scotland, Edinburgh

  • Crafts Council, London

  • Birmingham City Art Gallery

  • Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge
